For the purpose of facilitating Emergency Bridge Rehabilitation works to Curraghnabania #2 Bridge. Notice is hereby given that Leitrim County Council has made a decision to temporarily close the following local, public road: Road:            L5338-0 in Curraghnabania Dates:           Monday 14th July 2025 to Friday 1st August 2025 (inclusive) Diversions:  Curragnhabania, Dernahelty More and Miskaun Glebe (L-53341-0, L-5334-0 & L-5335-0)

For the purpose of Emergency Bridge Rehabilitations in Curraghnabania the L5338-0 will be closed on Monday 14th July until Friday 1st August, 2025

Leitrim County Council has decided to temporarily close the following public roads to facilitate The 2025 Road Works Programme. Each closure will operate for a period of 3 to 5 days between 9th April, 2025 and 31st December 2025

For the purpose of facilitating Irish Waterways Ireland with the underpass construction at Aghoo Bridge, Ballinamore, the R204 will be closed from 3rd March to 31st March 2025.

The implementation of new default speed limits of 60 KPH for all Rural Local Roads in county Leitrim will come into effect on Friday 7th February 2025. This does not include Regional and National roads and does not include any roads with a current special speed limits of 30 KPH or 50 KPH

Leitrim County Council will be carrying out Traffic Surveys along the N16 in Manorhamilton from Monday 13th – 20th January 2025. The survey will be carried out between the townlands of Carrickleitrim and Donaghmore using CCTV cameras which will count the traffic and pedestrian movements on the N16 as part of the Active Travel Project
