Road Closure - Leamanish/Drumlitten (Proposal)

Roads Act 1993 / Temporary Closing of Roads
In accordance with the provisions of Section 75 of the above Act and Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, and for the purpose of facilitating Water Mains Rehabilitation works, Notice is hereby given that Leitrim County Council proposes to make a decision to close the following public road:

Location:                            The R209 Keshcarrigan to Fenagh Road in the townlands of Leamanish/Drumlitten (Besborough)
Dates:                                 Monday 29th June to Friday 17th July 2026 inclusive
Alternative Routes:           Diversions via theR202/R208/R209 & R210
Note:                                   Local and emergency services access will be maintained throughout.

Any persons aggrieved by this proposal to close the roads described may lodge an objection in writing with the Director of Services for Economic Development, Regeneration, Sustainable Transport and Emergency Services, Leitrim County Council, Aras an Chontae, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim by email to roads@leitrimcoco.ie on or before 16:00 on Monday 8th June 2026
