Drumkeerin Family Festival (Road Closure Proposal)

Roads Act 1993 / Temporary Closing of Roads
In accordance with the provisions of Section 75 of the above Act and Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, and for the purpose of facilitating the running of The Drumkeerin Family Festival and Old Fair Day on Main Street, Drumkeerin. Notice is hereby given that Leitrim County Council proposes to make a decision to close the following roads:

Dates:              10:00 - 20:00 on Saturday 15th August, 2026
Location:         Main Street (R280), from the junction of the with local road L4251 and finishing at the junction of R280 with the R200 Dowra Road.
Alternative:     The R200 (Dowra Road) to the junction of the L4250 until its junction with the R280 (Carrick on Shannon Road).

Any persons aggrieved by this proposal to close the roads described may lodge an objection with the Director of Services for Economic Development, Regeneration, Sustainable Transport and Emergency Services, Leitrim County Council, Aras an Chontae, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim or by email to roads@leitrimcoco.ie on or before 16:00 on Monday 27th July 2026
