Roosky Bridge Footpath Trial
Roosky Bridge Footpath Trial
Leitrim County Council in partnership with Roscommon County Council are carrying out “The Roosky Bridge Footpath Trial” from Monday 23rd September to Sunday 6th October 2024.
What is happening?
- Trial of a temporary footpath over existing Roosky Bridge from Monday 23rd September to Sunday 6th October 2024.
- Installation of temporary footpath using bollards on the existing bridge, as there is currently no designated area for pedestrians to cross.
- Temporary Traffic Signals to control traffic over the bridge to one way flow.
- Signalised pedestrian crossing on the R371 at Reynolds Pub and Tighes Centra Supermarket.
- We are aiming to enhance safety for pedestrians and cyclists wishing to cross the bridge, while also providing clear priority to vehicles crossing the bridge.
