Cessation of bulky waste collection service at Civic Amenity Sites

In line with other local authorities in the region, Leitrim County Council have ceased the acceptance of bulky waste material in both of our Civic Amenity sites at Manorhamilton and Mohill. The Council will offer a bulky waste collection service on an annual basis which will be advertised in advance through local media, and the council’s website and social media channels. The acceptance of bulky waste material is already a service provided by private waste contractors within County Leitrim.

Leitrim County Council do not collect and never have collected domestic waste at our Civic Amenity Sites or Bring Banks.

Leitrim County Council wish to remind the public that they are responsible for the disposal of their own waste in accordance with Leitrim County Council Household Waste Presentation Bye Laws, 2013 and in accordance with the Waste Management Act, 1996, as amended.
