Temporary Road Closure (Proposal) - Keshcarrigan to Fenagh Road

Roads Act 1993 / Temporary Closing of Roads
In accordance with the provisions of Section 75 of the above Act and Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, and for the purpose of facilitating Water Mains Rehabilitation Works from Toomans to Keshcarrigan. Notice is hereby given that Leitrim County Council proposes to make a decision to close the following public roads:

Dates:                  16th November 2026 to 22nd January 2027
Note:                    Road will be fully open over the Christmas period (18th Dec 2026 to 4th Jan 2027)
Note:                    Previous Road Closure Request from 21/09/26 - 23/10/26 did not take place
Location:             The R209 - Keshcarrigan to Fenagh road
Alternative:        Diversions via the R209/R210/R208/R202 & R209

Local and Emergency Services Access will be maintained at all times.

Any persons aggrieved by this proposal to close the roads described may lodge an objection with the Director of Services for Economic Development, Regeneration, Sustainable Transport and Emergency Services, Leitrim County Council, Aras an Chontae, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim or by email to roads@leitrimcoco.ie on or before 16:00 on Tuesday 27th October 2026
