Road Closure - Carrick Carnival (Proposal)

Roads Act 1993 / Temporary Closing of Roads
In accordance with the provisions of Section 75 of the above Act and Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, and for the purpose of facilitating the Carrick Carnival, in Carrick on Shannon. Notice is hereby given that Leitrim County Council proposes to make a decision to close the following public road: 

Date:         Wednesday 27th May from 18:00 to Thursday 28th May at 22:00
Location:  Car park and road at the Quay (L-3399-4), adjacent to the Rowing Club and Shannon Bridge

Date:         Saturday 30th May from 07:00 - 18:00
Location:  Car park and road at Quay (L-3399-4), adjacent to the Rowing Club, to Shannon Bridge, also the parking area and road (L-3399) at Moon River to Shannon bridge

Date:         Sunday 31st May 09:00 - 00:00 (midnight)
Location:  Car park and road (L-3399) at Moon River to Shannon Bridge, the car park and road at the Quay (L-3399-4), adjacent to the Rowing Club and Shannon Bridge

Alternative Options: Please use alternative car park, known as “Flynn’s Field” for parking and use the main N4 for diversions.

Any persons aggrieved by this proposal to close the roads described may lodge an objection with the Director of Services for Economic Development, Regeneration, Sustainable Transport and Emergency Services, Leitrim County Council, Aras an Chontae, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim on or before 16:00 on Monday 11th May 2026
