Ballinamore Family Festival - Proposal

Roads Act 1993 / Temporary Closing of Roads
In accordance with the provisions of Section 75 of the above Act and Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, and for the purpose of facilitating the Ballinamore Family Festival. Notice is hereby given that Leitrim County Council proposes to make a decision to close the following public road:

Location:            High Street (R202-31) & Main Street (the R202-29 and R202-30), Ballinamore

Dates:                   Sun 9th August - Mon 17th August as below:
                              Sun 9th 12.30 - 00.00
                              Mon 10th 19:00 - 00.00
                              Tues 11th 19:00 - 00.00
                              Wed 12th 19:00 - 00.00
                              Thurs 13th 19:00 - 00.00
                              Fri 14th 19:00 - 00.00
                              Sat 15th 14:30 - 15:30 & 19:00 - 1:00 (Sun 16th)
                              Sun 16th 12:00 midday - 01:00 (Mon 17th)

Alternative:          Traffic coming from the R202 Mohill Road will turn right after the bridge onto the L1352-2 New Line Road. Traffic coming from the R199 Newtowngore Road will turn left after the R202 junction onto the L1353-1 New Line Road.

Any persons aggrieved by this proposal to close the roads described may lodge an objection with the Director of Services for Economic Development, Regeneration, Sustainable Transport and Emergency Services, Leitrim County Council, Aras an Chontae, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim or by email to roads@leitrimcoco.ie on or before 16:00 on Monday 20th July 2026
