Leitrim is JAM Card Friendly

Leitrim Libraries are now JAM Card Friendly!

On National Public Library Open Day, Leitrim Libraries celebrated the launch of JAM Card-friendly status across its branches.

The JAM Card ("Just A Minute") is a simple yet effective tool that allows people with a hidden disability, communication barrier, dementia, autism, learning difficulty or other additional needs to discreetly let staff know that they may need a little extra time, patience or support.

As part of this initiative, library staff across Leitrim have completed JAM awareness training to help ensure our libraries remain welcoming, inclusive and accessible spaces for everyone.

Available for free in card or app form, JAM Card is a discreet, silent and easy device for telling others that you need ‘Just A Minute’ in any situation.
