LegalMoov, a legal technology business based in Carrick on Shannon and founded by Joanna Frivet, has been announced as the Leitrim County Enterprise Award Winner and a National Finalist in the National Enterprise Awards 2026 by Local Enterprise Office Leitrim. The County Award was presented to LegalMoov by Mary Quinn, Deputy Chief Executive of Leitrim County Council, and Cllr Paddy Farrell, Cathaoirleach of Leitrim County Council, at a ceremony held in the Landmark Hotel on 14th April 2026.
LegalMoov is an Irish technology company that makes it easier for people and small businesses to understand legal issues and find the right solicitor or barrister. Through its online platform, users can get clear, early information about their legal situation and book an appointment with a qualified legal professional. At the same time, LegalMoov helps solicitors and barristers save time by organising client enquiries and reducing paperwork before consultations take place.
The Leitrim County Enterprise Award recognises businesses that demonstrate innovation, strong entrepreneurship and growth potential. LegalMoov was selected as the County Winner in recognition of its innovative use of digital technology within a regulated sector, its strong early customer engagement, and its potential to grow and create jobs in Leitrim while competing internationally. LegalMoov received a prize fund of €3,000 in recognition of its dedication to continued innovation, sustainability and business growth.
In addition to winning the county title, LegalMoov has also been named a National Finalist in the National Enterprise Awards 2026, where it will compete against finalists from across the country for a share of the national prize fund of over €50,000, along with the prestigious Overall National Enterprise Award. Award categories include Innovation, Best Export Business, Green/Sustainability, as well as regional awards.
Speaking at the awards, Joanna Frivet, Founder and CEO of LegalMoov, said: “I am truly honoured to receive the Leitrim County Enterprise Award. LegalMoov was built here in Leitrim, and the support from Local Enterprise Office Leitrim has been instrumental from the very early stages. We are so proud to represent the county at the national finals.”
