Calls for Expressions of Interest – Appointment of Chairperson to Local Community Safety Partnership
Leitrim County Council invites expressions of interest for consideration for appointment as Chairperson of a new Local Community Safety Partnership, which is to be established in each Local Authority area, in line with the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024.
Expressions of interest should be submitted by email to community@leitrimcoco.ie by Monday 15th July 2024.

Community Safety Fund 2025
Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan has opened the Community Safety Fund 2025 for applications. The annual fund allows for the proceeds of crime, seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) and An Garda Síochána, to be directed into local projects to support and enhance community safety. Themes from 2024 successful applicants included projects aimed at addressing anti-social behaviour, domestic violence, drug-related intimidation, social exclusion, youth programmes, prison post-release support. Many of the previous projects focused on education, sport, recreation, and social interaction to proactively address safety concerns in communities. Closing date Friday 5:00pm 16th May 2025.
