Leitrim County Council and the Carrick on Shannon branch of the Inland Waterways Association of Ireland (IWAI) are in the early planning stages for a public art project that celebrates the heritage, commitment and mission of the IWAI and the wider relationship between the people of Leitrim and the inland waterways of the region.

In preparation, we would like to invite and engage all members of the community and various stakeholders, especially those with an interest in our past, present and future engagement with our canals, rivers and lakes.

We invite you to join us, to hear about the project and for you to share any social, historical and/or cultural insights that will inform the nature of the project.
