Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS) 2026/2027 - Now Open!

The Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht has launched the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS) 2026/2027.

Leitrim County Council now invites Expressions of Interest from community groups and stakeholders seeking funding for outdoor recreation projects across the county.

The scheme supports the development of new outdoor recreational infrastructure and the enhancement, repair, or promotion of existing facilities in rural areas.

Funding Available

Measure 2: Medium Scale Repair/Upgrade and New Trail/Amenity Development

Maximum Funding €200,000

Deadline for Measure 2 EOI:   4pm on Thursday, 22nd October 2026

Measure 3: Strategic Large Scale Repair/Upgrade and New Strategic Trail/Amenity Development

Maximum Funding €500,000

Deadline for Measure 3 EOI:   4pm on Thursday, 22nd October 2026

Now Closed - Measure 1: Small Scale Repair/Development/Promotion and Marketing

Maximum Funding €40,000

Deadline for Measure 1 EOI:   4pm on Thursday, 30th July 2026

Now Closed - Project Development Measure

Development Costs for Strategic Large Scale Projects Maximum Funding €100,000

Deadline for Project Development EOI:   4pm on Thursday, 30th July 2026
