Temporary Road Closure - Drumkeerin

Roads Act 1993 / Temporary Closing of Roads
In accordance with the provisions of Section 75 of the above Act and Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, and for the purpose of facilitating the running of The Drumkeerin Family Festival and Old Fair Day on Main Street, Drumkeerin. Notice is hereby given that Leitrim County Council proposes to make a decision to close the following roads:

Dates:
Saturday 16th August 2025 from 10:00 - 20:00 AND Saturday 24th August 2025 from 17:00 - 23:00

Location: 
Main Street (R280), from the junction of the R280-24 with local road L4251-0 and finishing at the junction of R280-25 with the R200-1 Dowra Road.

Alternative:
The alternative route is along the R200-1, R200-2 (Dowra Road), to the junction of the L4250-1, proceed onto L4250-1 until its junction with the R280-23 (Carrick on Shannon Road).

Any person aggrieved by the proposed decision to close the road described may lodge an objection with the Director of Services for Economic Development, Planning and Infrastructural Services, Leitrim County Council, Park Lane House, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, on or before 16:00 on Monday 28th July, 2025
