Leitrim County Council and the FAI run a community soccer programme in Leitrim. This programme promotes participation in soccer with a variety of groups and clubs. One of the initiatives planned for this Autumn is a soccer camp for children with special needs during the Halloween break.
On Thursday, October 29th in the Sports Hall in Carrick on Shannon and on Friday October 30th in St Claire’s Secondary School in Manorhamilton, there will be short soccer camps for children with different additional needs e.g. children with learning disability or children with physical or sensory disability. The camp will take place from 10.30am to 12.30. On Thursday, October 29th in the Sports Hall in Carrick on Shannon, there will be short soccer camp for children with autism. The camp will take place from 2pm – 3.30pm.
Children would need to come dressed in sports gear and runners. Children should also take a bottle of water with them. Parents and/or assistant are encouraged to also attend in order to make the child more comfortable and to learn ways of helping your child participate in sport following the camp.
If you wish your child to participate in this camp, please telephone 071 9650498
